Conflict Resolution & Mediation

Our Accredited Mediator works to help you manage conflictual situations and provides training to improve reflexes and aid in the prevention of undesired outcomes. Our approach involves interactive sessions that promote self initiated solutions to not only learn how to resolve conflict, but how to empower those effected by the conflict.

Pay Equity Compliance & 1% Training Law Compliance

Pay Equity Compliance

Since 1996 all Quebec companies with 10 employees or more are subject to the Pay Equity Act, a law that was put in place to help reduce the wage gap between equivalent predominantly male and female job classes. In addition to having to complete a pay equity analysis and/or program every 5 years, companies must also complete an annual online declaration confirming that they have complied with the law. Companies who do not comply face penalties of $1,000 to $45,000.

Compliance with the 1% Training Law

All Quebec companies with an annual salary mass of 2 million dollars or more* must comply with the 1% Training Law (officially known as the Loi sur les compétences) whereby companies must spend at least 1% of their salary mass on training every year. For the years 2014 and prior companies with a salary mass of 1 million or more were subject to the law.
